چکیده
Let f be a C∞ function on R and P be a quadratic form defined by P (x) = P (x1, x2, · · · , xm) = x1+· · ·+xp−xp+1−· · ·−xp+q with p+q = m. In this paper, we mainly show that

Asymmetric Univariate and Bivariate Laplace and Generalized Laplace Distributions
Alternative specifications of univariate asymmetric Laplace models are described and investigated. A more general mixture model is then introduced. Bivariate extensions of these models are discussed in some detail, with particular emphasis on associated parameter estimation strategies. Multivariate versions of the models are briefly introduced.
متن کاملResults on Singular Distribution Products of Mikusiński Type
Results on products of Schwartz distributions are obtained when they have coinciding point singularities and only sums of the products exist in the distribution space. These results follow the pattern of a well-know distributional product published by Jan Mikusiński in 1966, and are named Mikusiński type products. The formulas are derived as the distributions are embedded in Colombeau algebra o...
متن کاملA Family of Skew-Slash Distributions and Estimation of its Parameters via an EM Algorithm
Abstract. In this paper, a family of skew-slash distributions is defined and investigated. We define the new family by the scale mixture of a skew-elliptically distributed random variable with the power of a uniform random variable. This family of distributions contains slash-elliptical and skew-slash distributions. We obtain the moments and some distributional properties of the new family of d...
متن کاملOn Balanced Products of the Distributions X
Results on products of the distributions xa± and δ (x) with coinciding singularities are derived when the products are balanced so that they exist in the distribution space. These results follow the idea of a known result on distributional products published by Jan Mikusiński in 1966. They are obtained in Colombeau algebra G(R)of generalized functions that contains the distribution space and th...
متن کاملDistributional Footprints of Deceptive Product Reviews
This paper postulates that there are natural distributions of opinions in product reviews. In particular, we hypothesize that for a given domain, there is a set of representative distributions of review rating scores. A deceptive business entity that hires people to write fake reviews will necessarily distort its distribution of review scores, leaving distributional footprints behind. In order ...
